Join a two day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Course in Glasgow.

Help someone with thoughts of suicide develop a safety plan to keep safe-for-now and connect with further help
Apply a Safety Framework to guide the development of this SafePlan through a collaborative, helping relationship
Understand how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someoneβs openness to seek help and your ability to provide it
Build confidence and capacity in providing suicide first aid
Learning Styles:
The course has 14 hours of learning delivered over 2 full days with a group of 8-30 people.
You will watch film and presentations, discuss scenarios, have practice conversations about suicide a-working as a group and individually
You will be given an ASIST Workbook, a PAL (Pathway for Assisting Life) model quick reference card and other materials which you can keep to follow up on the course or learn more.
CANCELLATIONS -
In the first instance if you may have to cancel you will be offered a switch to another SMHFA course free of charge if one is available.
Cancellations more than 4 weeks in advance will be fully refunded.
Cancellations less than 3 weeks in advance will be offered a 50% refund.
Cancellations with less than 1 weeks notice will receive no refund.
