ASIST prepares you to be ready, willing and able to help a person with thoughts of suicide stay safe for now.

During the course you will:
Help someone with thoughts of suicide stay safe for now and connect with further help.
Apply a safety framework to build a SafePlan through a collaborative, helping relationship.
Understand how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone's openness to seek help.
Build your confidence and capacity to provide suicide first aid.
How you will learn:
14 hours of learning across two full days, in a group of 8 to 30 people.
Film, presentations, group discussion and practice conversations about suicide.
You keep your ASIST Workbook, PAL quick reference card and other materials.
